DUST514 Character Sheet, Skills and Market Dissection

Polygon posted yet another video that shows Character Sheet and various skills that you can have in DUST 514 as well as the Market for the first time. This is character that has every single skill on level 5 (maxed out), and it would take years to get to that point (as mentioned on DUST 514 keynote as well).

Let's see what kind of skills we have here:

So we have current skills: Turret Upgrades section with a single skill in it that's Turret Upgrades on L5 (Level 5), which doesn't mean that you won't have more at launch. This is followed by Vehicle Command skills that are: Acceleration Control, Caldari Dropship, Caldari HAV, Caldari LAV, Gallente Dropship, Gallente HAV, Gallente LAV, Piloting and Vehicle Command. The numbers next your skills are skill multipliers. So, a 3x multiplier skill takes 3x as many skill points per level to train, and you can see that for example Gallente Dropship is (10x). These multipliers also depend on your attributes that can be changed with Augmentations (you can see that as well on the left side of your screen) so Gallente Dropship may be 9x 8x or even less, depending on primary and secondary attributes that those skills require (you can see that information by clicking "Show Info" on that specific skill).

We can also see that you have Unallocated Skills - and those skills you earn by playing the game which can be used to speed up training of any skill you want trained faster.

To your left, you have list of other things you can customize and view on your character: Character Info, Decorations, Augmentations, Clones, Bio, Employment History, Standings, Combat and Roles. All these sections go very in-depth and some of these things are viewable by everyone (for example your Biography or your Employment History so they can see in which Corporation you've been before etc).

Next, we have bunch of weapon skills and I am not going to bother taking screenshots of every single scroll but here is one to give you general idea how deep the customization goes:

The juicy stuff. Heavy Weapon Rapid Reload, Heavy Weapon Rapid Reload Proficiency, Heavy Weapon Sharpshooter, Heavy Weapon Sharpshooter Proficiency, Heavy Weapon Upgrade, Light Weapon Capacity, Light Weapon Rapid Reload... and so on. Now you have very clear picture how deep all these skills go. If you decide to go for Heavy Weapons you will take your sweet time to get your specialization just right and it goes deeper and deeper once you get more and more skills up to higher levels.

Now, let's take a look at the Market! As you can see, you have categories to your left and those are (weapons): Assault Rifles, Sniper Rifles, Laser Rifles, Submachine Guns, Shotguns, Scambler Pistols, Swarm Launchers, Forge Guns, Heavy Machine Guns, Mass Drivers, Grenades.

Your main screen shows you exact model of your Assault Rifle, short description, Requirements, How many are in stock and it's Best Price currently available. Requirements are based on dropsuit status as we can see - Power Grid and CPU, what type of dropsuit (L - Light probably) and some specific skills. You can also see that weapons cost ISK and AUR and we are pretty sure that those prices are not finalized at all so don't panic.

All these things show you what you can expect to be able to purchase directly from your Merc Quarters together with your Corporation and move forward with your Alliance/Corporation and Character progression.
