As we gear up for fanfest, dust514.org is privileged to have been invited along for a tour of the CCP offices.

It was great to see where the games we all know and love are developed and run.  CCP really know how to keep their employees happy!

Of note was an arcade machine they had decorated to say "EVE Mining Simulator", A punch bag in the community/customer support wing and bookcases FULL of "Vampire The Mascarade" lore.

Tomorrow is when things get really interesting. Keep watching this space for news direct from fanfest, and make sure you tune into EVETV at 5pm GMT / 9am PST for the Dust 514 Keynote speech!

As of right now - you can claim your virtual DUST 514 shirt for your PlayStation Home avatar! Just log into the PS Home and navigate to "Recommended  & New" section and download the DUST 514 package from there and the shirt will be yours!

Sony has revealed that this Thursday will be a big day for PlayStation Home, as CCP Games will be hosting this year’s EVE Fanfest live into the virtual space. The keynote speech will be streamed live into Home followed by an interactive Q&A session exclusively with the folks in the Home space.

The event held in Home will be special as it will be CCP Game’s first public unveiling of DUST 514, showing off gameplay footage followed by a live Q&A session directly with the developers. Its like going to the EVE Fanfest conference from the convenience of your “home.” The event will begin March 22nd at 9:00am PT (12:00pm ET).

Players can sign up at the desk in front of the EVE/DUST 514 PVP arena room on Thursday from 13:00 onwards. The first 192 people who registered on Thursday are in for the tournament. Anyone who registered after will be on standby and accepted to join in case there are no-shows. Participants can only register for one corporation.

1st team prize: 24 x PlayStation® Vita & 24x PlayStation® 3 *
2nd team prize: 24 x PlayStation® 3 **

+ a special surprise Grand Prize for the player with the best Kill/Death ratio from the first place team in the final match.

Fanfest is just around the corner and its shaping up to be the best one ever! Fanfest is CCP's annual conferance where players meet to set aside their in-game differences, share drinks with one another and forging new friendships. More importantly for us Dust Fans its where they make all thier big announcements!

Yes, you heard that right. According to the recent game trailers interview from GDC 2012, The beta will be starting in April.

Eve Online players, Gaming Press and Hardcore Dust 514 fans will get the chance to play the game at CCP's Fanfest event on the 22nd to the 24th of march. After which the games beta, which has been running in private since December last year will be opened up to the public.

There will be a version Dust 514 for the Vita. But it won't be the same experience on PS3 as it is on Vita, detective Eurogamer has discovered.

On Vita, at least to begin with, Dust 514 will be a companion app for the PS3 game.

"On Vita we will have a companion app," clarified Dust 514 executive producer Brandon Laurino in an interview.
