trust me i fully understand keeping your options open. if you choose another route there's no hard feelings. our tryouts are usually about a week (again--not to be elitist--we just like to make sure it's good fit) and from our standpoint during tryouts you're also "trying us out" as well..so it's certainly a two-way street.
can't wait for beta so we can see how much of our speculation turns to reality.

That's quite an honor of you, however, DOW nor any clans affiliated are doing interviews until a later date. We have a formal PR process slated for Beta go-live. Love your blog- keep up the good work! Hopefully we can do something more in the future.

If so I would like to throw in my hat for consideration.
The following is an abridged version of my FPS Resume:
I have played FPS games since Doom.
First FPS played online: Duke Nukem 3D (14.4bps Modem)
First Competitive FPS and Clan Joined: Counter-Strike
First Console FPS played: Golden Eye (N64)
First Modern Console FPS played: Modern Warfare
MMOFPS played: Planetside, Gunz, MAG (Beta and Release)
Latest FPS played: Battlefield 3 Alpha/Beta
I am a mature old school FPS player who specializes in the three S's: stealth, sabotage, and suicide missions. I am looking for a strong organized team that has an emphasis on team work and also has EVE backing. After reading your forum post and looking over your website, you guys seem like a good fit. just wanted to reiterate here that while mics are certainly mandatory for V-C members, we're not establishing a KDR limit until we see and experience gameplay (if at all) we're an elite clan with top-tier players but Dust looks like a game who's depth will far exceed some of the useless leaderboard focused shooters many currently play.
lastly, we're especially interested in longtime Ace Combat players and players with other flight simulator experience. feel free to shoot me a PM i check the site atleast every other day.

top 20? thats pretty impressive, man...yeah we liked what they hinted at in regards to having pilotable vehicles on the PSBlog and we're just trying to be prepared. after seeing some of the BF3 jet footage i'm convinced that having a good group of pilots might be the difference between winning and losing in Dust.
red baron? i like it...more of a Rick Hunter/Max Sterling/Roy Fokker guy, but its all love (you don't know NOTHIN' bout that Robotech, rookie! <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D --> )

I've watched every season of Robotech there is even the ones with the motorcycles. Besides Robotech is just 3 or 4 seasons of Macross bunched together. Max is okay everyone knows Rick is legendary.
