slow slow slow
damn you ^^
seems awesome but at the same time i'm starting to be afraid by the level of complexity of the game, will be very similar to eve with fitting even with soldier and obviously resistance type like in EvE EM thermal explosive kinetic
I dont know the level of complexity of other successfull FPS on PS3 but does "complexe FPS" is a good idea for PS3 player population ?
Well dust is never going to be one of the BIG games. It will if it don't fail have a "small" but dedicated following kind of like eve. But that's just me guessing. But sure yes i think it will scare of many players whit the complex fitting systems and surrounding logistics. But the only thing i am worried about is that players will be to tanky and the fps part of it will get boring. But then we just have to w8 and see.
People that have an ounce of intelligence will understand the concepts of resistances quite easily. Fitting might present a little bit more complexity, but I'm sure everyone will just follow the cookie cutter setups that people publish.
The idea of a "complex" system of loadouts (sorry fittings) will not scare too many folks away. Pleanty of games offer decent levels of customization. Basically it all comes down to the menus...if they are intuitive then the experience should not be too difficult. When the menus are clunky and confusing that is when it becomes a chore. But with good menus all you really have to worry about is the new terminology for everything.

Well we will see. But i still think some will not like the amount of thinking received before you go kill stuff. But then that's not the gamers that will play dust in the long run.

You know what they say
"try to satisfy everyone - noone will be happy"
Better focus on one player group.

Oh Gawd. I can honestly say that having non-complex games is sucking the life outta video gaming. BF3 and COD, while big hits, are 'dumb' games. Gimme something on the level of Chromehounds any day over those AA titles. Heck, even your standard MMOs are smarter than your average shooter.
Now on topic of the armor. DAYUM!!!!! Love the Amarr armor and the Minmitar armor right next to it. Both of the represent a Dystopia kind of world to me of the uber high tech and low tech that still gets the job done. Also of note, I REALLY hope they change the color scheme of the Gallente armor from the pic we found. Id doesn't look all that bad in the graphic we see in the latest dev blog.
