Parts 1 and 2 of an interview with an Eve lead designer. In this interview it is explained that new announcements on Dust 514 will not be done in Fanest, only the roundtable thing. I remember reading in this forum that CCP would appear in E3 or one such console event. It is likely that new relevant information on Dust 514 will be there.

The Dust 514 part is in part 2 of the interview.

I didn't read anything about a presentation per say, but holy crap that Incarna video was awesome.

So it looks like Dust 514 might not release in 2011. It was hinted at in the Economics section of the fanfest. I thought it wouldn't release this year, but it's kinda depressing. Unless I'm wrong, and they actually meant that it won't release with the link to Eve this year. Hopeful about this.

That was an awesome, awesome look at what &quot;could be&quot;. Let us hope it becomes a reality.

Also, future Dust clients have just been given a terrible inspiration if orbital bombardment is allowed. Dust corps are gonna need Eve fleets to keep them safe if such a thing happens.

Speaking as an EVE player, we already had that as an idea. yes awesome vision / video, but there must be some limitation to treachery in DUST like shown in eve because if even only 1/4 of the fight are ending in a &quot;we've been backstabbed&quot; the game will be near desert after a few month and i bet it's not CCP desire

btw this fanfest is (again) rather dissapointed, nothing very &quot;straight&quot; about DUST informations seems we will have to wait E3 (7-9 june) to have (eventually) some information

Orbital bombardment is a GO!!!

Kinda happy that there's multiple flavors of it too. Something the video didn't show is the DUSTers possibly respawning and then battling over a totally wrecked and changed battlefield. Like the visual style of DUST. WAY better than those 1st videos.

That guy seemed like a real butthead.

Definitely looked interesting though. But what I had in my mind was a small team infiltrating installations and doing various forms of sabotage, from stealing information to setting explosives.

The Ender's Game movie is taking shape. I'm very excited.
