I figured since the flyboys have one, us dusters might as well have one to . Yo ho yo ho a pirates life for me.
Crime and punishment
Would not surprised me. Seeing Mercs randomly attack somewhere, and give off the planet when they control it to the highest bidder.
Someone would be really pissed though...

Or, a merc attack to cover someone wanting that district, and the highest bidder is really rigged, just the original price with the veil of not being involved from the outset.
but then again that really pissed someone could just hire their own mercs..
then the original mercs could come back..
omg, total war economy, just like MGS4
OH GAWDS!
*runs to the hills*
Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggg matey!!!!!!!!!!!!! You can count me in buddy. But we need a Jolly Roger
Yes I feel there will be normal mercs who work contracts and then there are the pirates. Mercs basically holding a planet ransom and getting quite rich off of it. Oh the fun to be had.

hmmm it would be fun to start a design thread to post your corps's logo / flag/ badge / nick-nack / artwork whatever. I'll be working on it
Well technically the planets are a FFA when its comes to mercs, You wont just have 2 opposing sides, you will have other alliances also contesting for planetary ownership.
For Example you may have 2 opposing alliances fighting over a planet, the attacker being the more powerful, the weaker obviously an defending Minmatar mining colony. How ever there may also be the 3'rd alliance who wants domination. Who may choose to send in mercs to help protect the mining colony to defeat the attack of the stronger alliance, only to retract the contract and take the weakend mining colony for its own, therefore reducing the chances of defeat of the stronger alliance has gained control.
So will planets be allowed to be contested over my more than 2 alliances at one given time.
I like the idea of posting logos for your dust corps. It should be under the recruitment page, should be interesting. Ya I'm sure it will be hectic on the planets, although I think when it comes down to the bigger eve alliances doing faction warfare there will be multiple merc corps fighting in the same system/planet for the same alliance. I'd love to see multiple corps working in tandem, it'd be a new frontier for fpsers.
remeber planets =districts it wont be just one fight that affects ownership but a dozen so i think 1v1 for battle but more than 2 corps could be fighting on the same planet

I think what Meikle meant to say was planets can have more than one district. So as such, different groups can all fight for a planet simultaneously, even if they don't all fight each other at once.
thank you for clearing up my shtty way of explaining things
